QUTHING — Members of the district nutrition team will attend a three-day meeting on dissemination of the National Food and Nutrition Strategic Document to be held in Upper Moyeni, Quthing from Tuesday next week.
The meeting organized by Food and Nutrition Coordinating Office (FNCO) is intended to inform attendants about the strategy’s goals, implementation plan, and foster collaboration for its successful execution.
The District Food and Nutrition Coordinating Office Nutritionist, Mrs. ‘Matseko Ts’eole said the meeting will focus on amongst others the mandate and roles of the Ministry of Health and of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition, presentation on nutrition status and presentation on Lesotho Food and Nutrition Strategy.
She stated that zero hunger strategic review, food fortification and iodization, food security policy and cost of hunger Africa – Lesotho, and advocacy social behaviour communication change will also be covered at the same event.
