FOSTERING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE BY STRENGTHENING URBAN PREPAREDNESS SYSTEMS 

Maseru, July 18 — Disaster Management Authority (DMA) in collaboration with UN World Food Programme (WFP) held a two days workshop to launch Phase II project Regional Urban Preparedness (RUP II) in Maseru, today. 

As stated by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) , DMA, Mr. Reatile Elias, mentioned that the purpose of the workshop is to prepare for the launch of the phase II project. 

“The phase I project had 4 participating districts which are Mafeteng, Maseru, Leribe and Botha-Bothe,” he mentioned. 

He stated that during phase II of this project, Berea will have a benefit from the lessons learnt from the phase I of the project.
