Maseru, Aug. 19 — The government of Lesotho has through the office of the Prime Minister introduced a number of projects that are aimed at eradicating poverty and youth unemployment that the country is faced with.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Saturday, the Director Smart Partnership Hub Mr. Shata Mothae indicated that such projects include a giveaway of 11 sheep composing of 10 ewes and one ram to each herdboy which are aimed at production of wool and mohair as one of the country’s contributing commodities to the economy.
He stated that in this project, the office of the Prime Minister is working with the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure that the beneficiaries are equipped with skills on how well they can take the sheep for better production.
