Maseru, Nov. 06 — The Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Leader of Opposition and members of the Prime Minister’s Cluster say the Government Assets Search and Recovery Task Team was dissolved prematurely before it could even hand over some reports to Parliament.
This, they said during their meeting with the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Limpho Tau with the objective to brief them on why the team was dissolved and map the way forward.
PAC Chairperson Mrs. Machabana Lemphane Letsie indicated that the Committee had earlier asked the team some questions and was expecting it to report back but was dissolved, asking the Minister to advise on how PAC could continue from where it ended with the team.
” I don’t want to assume the team was dissolved due to questions asked by the committee as I still wonder how come the said challenges facing the team were only discovered in October 2025″ she added.
She therefore urged the Minister to advise them on what to do as the team was already presenting a report before Parliament…
