HOME AFFAIRS ASSURES PUBLIC OF AVAILABILITY OF PASSPORTS 

Maseru, Mar. 19 — The Ministry of Local Government, Home Affairs and Police through Portfolio Committee on Law and Public Safety Cluster have assured the public of the availability of passports. 

From the recently published letter, the committee admitted to prolonged delays and discriminatory practices in passport issuance and stated that the matter has been dealt with and passport issuance will no longer be a problem. 

The committee further explained that one of the challenges that led to the delay in passport issues is the problem that emanated from the supplier who failed to deliver the procured passports, as the supplier was the middleman, since the ministry had since been procuring passports directly from the manufacturer. . .
