INITIATIVE FOR BETTER LABOR RELATIONS LAUNCHES POLIHALI BARGAINING FORUM

Maseru, Feb. 10 — The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA), in collaboration with its main contractors and trade unions, recently inaugurated the Polihali Bargaining Forum at its offices in Mokhotlong.

The official launch included the signing of the Forum’s Constitution, marking a significant advancement in promoting constructive dialogue around crucial matters affecting workers.

The Polihali Bargaining Forum is designed to serve as a platform for negotiation and engagement, focusing on key issues such as workers’ wages, health and safety and overall working conditions.

This initiative comes on the heels of recent disputes and strike actions that have taken place at the project site, indicating an urgent need for improved labour relations.
