INTERIM SOLUTION PROPOSED FOR TSÓSANE DUMP SITE CRISIS

Maseru, May. 01– In a crucial development regarding the longstanding environmental crisis at the Tsosane dump site, the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs, and Police, Mr. Lebona Lephema, unveiled potential interim solutions during his recent engagement with the Senate’s Petition Committee.

Addressing the  concerns, Minister Lephema disclosed that two open tenders have been put forth by volunteers aiming to alleviate the crisis, with a condition of benefitting from the dump site. One proposal focuses on harnessing gas and electricity production, while the other suggests drilling holes for enhanced drainage to facilitate the site’s rehabilitation.
