TREASON TRIAL RESUMES 

Maseru, Dec.09—A case in which two politicians, former army commander and some army members are charged with treason has on Monday resumed before the High Court. 

The case proceeded with cross-examination of Former Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Mr. Moshoeshoe Sehloho. 

The witness was told by one of the defence lawyers, Advocate Letuka Molati, that the late Maaparankoe Mahao has never become Commander of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) in his lifetime. He was further told that when the Maseru Security Accord was signed, it was among others resolved that since the elections were approaching, a party that would win the elections would choose who to become the army commander…
