KALA DENIES THREATS ALLEGATIONS

Mohale’s Hoek, Aug.11 — Ketane and Kori Route Chairperson Mr. Tlali Kala has rubbished allegations saying taxi owners have uttered threats against one teacher who is reported to have used his vehicle to go to work, with his colleagues during the days taxis were not operating.

Mr. Kala stated this in an interview with the Agency by noting that operators are not criminals who go around threatening people as doing so is against the law, noting he tried to get to the bottom of the allegations but could not find any proof, therefore calling that an act of trying to get operators on the wrong site of the law.

However, Mr. Kala expressed his gratitude to the Roads Directorate for site inspecting the roads which have forced them to suspend daily operations, noting they have been informed that maintenance is expected to commence on Tuesday. . .
