Maseru, Sept. 16 — In an effort to aid young Basotho individuals to further their studies, Higherlife Foundation together with Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) through King Letsie III has awarded 10 Moshoeshoe I Scholarships to young Basotho scholars to study abroad.
These scholars are set to embark on an educational journey focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at various institutions of higher learning.
In his remarks, King Letsie III said this third cohort is particularly important as it coincides with the bicentennial celebration of Lesotho’s founding.
He emphasised the importance of this milestone, stating that the 200 years of the nation’s existence is crucial to honor the legacy of Morena Moshoeshoe I by investing in the future leaders of this country.
