Maseru, March. 11 — The Head of State, King Letsie III led laying of wreaths on top of Thaba-Bosiu fortress on Tuesday in remembrance of the late Morena Moshoeshoe l.
On top of this Mountain, it is believed that the father of the nation, King Moshoeshoe I is buried. The 2025 commemoration marks the new journey beyond 200 bicentennial.
Upon arrival, that is prior to laying of wreaths in remembrance of the late father, King Letsie III started with inspection of LDF 112 guard on parade for a royal salute.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane also laid a wreath. The Paramount Chiefs who laid wreaths included Chiefs of Makhoakhoa, Bataung and Batlokoa. The laying of wreaths ceremony started with prayer service otherwise (Thapelo ea Basotho) with people facing north direction. . . .
