Maseru, Nov. 12 — King Letsie III has on Wednesday handed over letters of commission to Mrs Mapaballo ‘Mile and Mr. Mosuoe Letuma by which he accredited them as Lesotho’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China and the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland respectively.
Commissioning the duo, the King said it is the country’s desire to maintain and strengthen the good relations that exist between Lesotho and the People’s Republic of China as well as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, hence their accreditation as Ambassador and High Commissioner.
He expressed confidence that they will be able to discharge their mission in a manner that will merit approval of China President and King Charles of Great Britain as well as to prove themselves worthy of the mark of confidence the country bestowed upon them.
“We charge you to serve the government and the people of Lesotho with honour, loyalty and dignity in your capacity as Ambassador and High Commissioner to above mentioned countries” he stressed.
He concluded by wishing them success in their new assignments and trust they will find their tour of duty as the country’s envoy both fulfilling and pleasant…
