Quthing, Feb. 14 — Members of Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) in Quthing will attend a one-day sensitisation meeting on Copyright Law at the district Administrator’s Hall on Wednesday next week.
In an interview with the Agency, the District Tourism Officer Mrs. ‘Matlotliso Koro said the meeting organised by Department of Culture in collaboration with Lesotho Copyright Society of Authors (LECOSAA) will focus on Copyright Law and the recently published Broadcasting, Public Performance and Communication to the Public Tariffs No. 114 of 2024.
She highlighted that the meeting will also cover among others the copyright licensing procedures for commercial users of music.
LECOSSA is a multipurpose and membership based collectively on management organisation (MMO) established under Section 31 of the Copyright Order of 1998 which was operationalised in 2021 with the support of the Department of Culture.
