Maseru, June. 20 – Attorney Mahlomola Manyokole says even a reasonable man is able to establish that beating inmates seem to be the culture at Maseru Central Correctional Institution (MCCI).
He said this when cross examining on behalf of his client, Officer Commanding MCCI, Assistant Commissioner Tsoto Manaka before Commission of inquiry on Thursday.
Attorney Manyokole who is also former Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) Director General told the Commission that upon watching footage in relation to inmates assault and torture by officers, it is obvious that there is no order within the correctional institution. . .
