LESOTHO AIMS FOR SIMPLIFIED CROSS BORDER TRADE

Maseru, July.18—Following the signing of a Joint Action Plan in June between the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of South Africa to facilitate movement of persons and goods between the two countries, the Ministry through the Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI) project has on Friday handed over smart one-stop border post equipment to different government and private sector agencies.

In her remarks, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Business Development Mrs. Palesa Matobako said this handover stands as a powerful testament to collective strides towards realising the Lesotho National Single window as a pivotal reform that embodies the ministry of trade, industry, and business development’s steadfast dedication to simplifying cross border procedures and strengthening Lesotho’s competitiveness… NT/BM
