Qacha’s Nek, Aug. 31 — Lesotho athletes Kamohelo Mofolo and Olympian Neheng Khatala delivered a powerful performance at the 2025 Hollywoodbets Durban 10km run on Saturday, flying the national flag high with podium finishes and national records.
Mofolo, 19 years old, won the men’s race in a blistering 27:57, breaking the course record and earning M37,500 in prize money. Meanwhile, Olympian Khatala took second place in the women’s race, clocking a new Lesotho national record of 31:43 and collecting M30,000.
With his 27:57 finish, Mofolo improved on the previous course record of 28:01 set by Kabelo Mulaudzi in 2023.
He also beat his own previous performance at the same race, where he placed third in 2024 with a time of 28:09.
