LESOTHO HOLDS SACU OIL COMMITTEE MEETING

Maseru, Nov. 20 – The Ministry of Energy in collaboration with the Petroleum Fund will hold a three-day Southern African Customs Union (SACU) Interstate Oil Committee (IOC) Meeting to commence on Wednesday.

According to Petroleum Fund Public Relations Officer Mr. Roriasang Mahlo, the event is intended to discuss oil industry issues among member states which include Botswana, South Africa, Eswatini and Namibia.

He said the event is a bi-annual event which is held on a rotational basis providing the platform for maintaining regular contact among member states regarding all aspects of the acquisition, storage, supply, distribution and related issues of petroleum products in the customs union area.
