Mohale’s Hoek, Sept.12 — The Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Nutrition, (MAFSON), Ministry of Trade, Industry and Small Business Development (MTIBD) with GIZ as an implementing partner, has introduced a new project titled the Lesotho Economic Growth, Job Creation and Economic Partnership Agreement, co-funded by European Union with 6.95 million EUR.
The project is a response to high unemployment rate, lack of self-sufficiency projects.
In his opening remarks, MAFSON’s District Extension Officer Mr. Lekhetho Tlali noted that Lesotho is faced with the high rate of unemployment and urged farmers to support government’s efforts to fight poverty by producing more, while engaging supervision from Extension Officers. . .
