MAPOTENG FARMERS PRACTICE SHEP TO ENHANCE CROPS PRODUCTION

Berea, Oct 06—In an effort to promote sustainable agriculture amid summer cropping, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) under Mapoteng Resource Centre is implementing the Smallholder Horticultural Empowerment and Promotion (SHEP) model to enhance crops production to at least 60 farmers as a pilot study.

Mapoteng Resource Centre Area Technical Officers (Crops) Ms. Lerato Ts’oana-matsie confirmed the development during an interview with LENA on Friday.
