LESOTHO OPENS IMPORTATION OF TOMATOES AND APPLES

Maseru, May.04—The Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Mr. Thabo Mofosi has revealed that the government through his minister is now issuing permits to allow for the importation of tomatoes and apples into the country.

This he said during his official speech on National Television on Friday  after the importation of tomatoes and apples was put on hold for some time as production within the country was satisfactory for the market.

In this speech, Mr. Mofosi highlighted that the process of banning the entry into the country of some products is done based on the high production that Basotho farmers are doing and as such allows and creates a great market for them within the country…
