LESOTHO STRENGTHENS DIAMOND AND MINERAL SECTOR THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS

Maseru, July.29–The Embassy of the Kingdom of Lesotho in Brussels welcomed a delegation from The Electrochemical Company (TEC) and Elikia Diamonds, two internationally recognized firms committed to responsible and traceable mineral trading.

According to a publication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, the delegation expressed a strong interest in forming a fair-trade partnership with Lesotho’s artisanal miners, focusing on both diamonds and rare earth elements.

Their vision is to support sustainable livelihoods, promote ethical sourcing, and enable Basotho miners to access premium global markets…NT/BM
