Maseru, Sep. 12 — The Lesotho Senior National Team, Likuena arrived back into the country on Wednesday following the start of their 2025 TotalEnergies Confederation of African Football (CAF) Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with fixtures against Central African Republic and Morocco.
In an interview with Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) Information and Communications Manager, Mr. Mikia Kalati said the team jetted back into Southern Africa from Morocco through Egypt on Wednesday morning with local based players and officials traveling back to Maseru by bus while all players plying their trade outside the country flew back to their respective clubs.
He said Premier Soccer League (PSL) duo of Motebang Sera and Thabo Makhele were the first to fly back to Royal AM and Chippa United to prepare for the start of the new South African Betway League season followed by Neo Mokhachane, whose Jwaneng Galaxy is scheduled to face Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League on the weekend.
Meanwhile, the national team senior coach, Leslie Nots’i has jetted for Abidjan, Cote d’voire to attend the CAF TotalEnergies Afcon Coaches Symposium scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
