Qacha’s Nek, April 27 — In preparation for the upcoming district literacy competition scheduled for September, primary schools saw the two-day resumption of the competition at centre levels.
St. Joseph’s primary school hosted 11 schools within Qacha’s Nek centre and the competition comprising of sesotho, spelling bee, impromptu speech, composition, debate, chess, arts and dance amongst grade 1 – 7 pupils had since stopped in 2018 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Position one pupils in all categories will represent their centre at district level.
Makhalong obtained four first positions in different areas followed by St Joseph’s with two while some of the ten schools bagged one.
