Maseru, July 08 — Despite the cold weather with a bit of drizzling snow, the community of Rothe gathered at Rothe Moreneng to register for cash for a work project.
Glad in their blankets, coats, young and old, men and women turned up in large numbers.
As a sign of the high unemployment rate, some community members indicated that they have been queueing since 5am.
Cash for work is an initiative by the government of Lesotho to intervene on food insecurity facing the country.
