Maseru, July 29 — Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) CommanderLieitenant General Mojalefa Letsoela has been appointed the army Commander for further three years.
This was disclosed by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. LimphoTau,in an interview on Tuesday where he said this is effective from August 04, 2025, and will end on August 03, 2028.
Commenting on whether there was no other candidate for the position, Mr. Tau indicated that through the power invested in him, the Prime Minister has the right to choose whoever he wants to fill the said position.
Lieutenant General Letsoela was appointed to the position on January 23, 2018, succeeding in the late Lieutenant General Khoantle Mots’omots’o and he was scheduled to retire on August 30, 2025.
