Mr. Sekoetja said these finalists’ teams are already hard at training in preparations for the tournament.
He however stated that unlike in the past where the overall winner would go to play against the Matlakeng constituency team, this time the winners will only be awarded prizes.
Mr. Sekoetja said the excitement from spectators from Machache is already building up as they are looking ahead to the fun filled day.
He nonetheless lamented that some of the teams in the Machache area died a natural death as they could not return to training following the two years’ suspension of sport due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Machache Soccer Spectacular has produced top players since it was started over a decade ago with the likes of Nkau Lerotholi, Lawrence Molengoane, Tumelo Maine and many others who were identified during the tournament and went on to play for big Premier league clubs as well as the senior national side Likuena.
In its prime time the tournament used to attract national coaches as well as soccer legends from both Lesotho and South Africa to witness raw talent at its best.
As a result of this tournament Machakha FC gained promotion from the A Division to the Premier league division while Limapo FC qualified for the B Division play offs in Maseru.
