MATHEKO TRAINING CENTRE RE-OPENS

Maseru, July 31 — Matheko Training Centre (MTC) based  in Thaba-Tseka will re-open its doors to students starting from August 05  after closure due to COVID-19 a few years ago.

The Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development, Mr. Pitso Lesaoana said this in his statement at the Old Parliament building today, Wednesday.

He said at least 90 students from different parts of the country have been enrolled, adding vocational training will be offered in areas of agriculture and carpentry among others.

He added that  re-opening is in the quest to enhance education, meet students halfway who did not make it to tertiary institutions or dropped out due to different reasons that include early child marriages.
