Maseru, Nov. 22 — The Minister of Gender, Youth, and Social Development Mr. Lesaoana Pitso has officiated Media Engagement Awards in Child Protection and Justice for Children, the event was held in Maseru on Wednesday in Maseru.
In his keynote address, the Minister Lesaoana indicated that children are faced with numerous challenges that include amongst others, Human Trafficking, Online sensual exploitation and malnutrition and hunger.
He noted that the government remains committed to addressing these challenges through the establishment of policies that will respond to such matters.
Mr. Lesaoana noted that media has played pivotal role in the advocacy and education for the change in the country on issues relating to children.
He has commended the office of the Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso for being elected to deal with child protection issues. . . .
