MINISTRY LAUNCHES LAND DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK 

Maseru,Aug.28—The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police has on Tuesday launched the National Spatial Development Framework (NSDF) which is intended to provide the needed guidance to put physical development on a more sustainable and equitable basis.

While officially launching this initiative, the Minister to this ministry Mr. Lebona Lephema mentioned that the National Spatial Development Framework is key in guiding housing, infrastructure and other forms of development in Lesotho.

He said  the policies and legislation related to land use management and control are not considered to be adequate in Lesotho and this has resulted in illegal settlement and settlement in appropriate locations to the detriment of beneficial and sustainable development in the country…
