Maseru, Nov, 19 — Ministry of Health in collaboration with UNICEF will officially launch a new Learning Hub and commemorate World Prematurity Day on Thursday, November 21, at Queen Mamohato Memorial Hospital (QMMH).
According to Dr. Makhoase L. Ranyali, the initiative is part of Lesotho’s strategic efforts to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.
She indicated that the Learning Hub established through the Ministry’s Family Health Division under the Child Health Program, will serve as a vital resource for bridging skills gaps and improving attitudes among healthcare professionals.
“It is complemented by simulation-based education centers in Berea, Leribe, Mafeteng and Mohale’s Hoek districts,” she said.
