Maseru, Jan. 29 — The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has planned to revoke Temporary Number Plates as of April this year.
This was revealed by the Minister of Public Works and Transport Mr. Matjato Moteane in an interview with the Agency, saying this is upon realisation that suppliers take time to print number plates due to the fact that the Ministry fails to pay them on time.
“Sometimes we take time to pay suppliers and they fail to restock thus we want to change the system altogether ” he added.
He stated that currently there are only three companies based in the country which print the number plates for the Ministry thus want to add five or more so that they could at least be 10 in number to cover all districts of the country…
