Mohale’s Hoek, Nov. 22 — The Ministry of Education will in 2025 pilot a new syllabus titled the Lesotho Advanced Secondary Certification (LASC) at some high schools to be yet identified by the Ministry Of Education and Training.
This has been confirmed by EcoL’s Director, Assessment and Evaluation Dr. Bonnqe Taolane following a meeting with Southern Region principals, aimed at preparing them for the new syllabus so that they will render support to teachers, but noted they will conduct trainings for teachers regarding the content of the syllabus in a due time.
Dr. Taolane stated that ECol has already held meetings with various stakeholders including universities, and noted they still have to meet with the District Education Managers (DEM’s) as part of advocacy of the syllabus.. .
