The Leader of Basotho National Party Mr. Machesetsa Mofomobe has confirmed that he was arrested and taken to Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) for questioning.
This he said in an interview with the Agency, following reports on social media which indicated that he was arrested on Thursday night by DCEO and slept in its cells.
However, Mr. Mofomobe said he still does not know why he was arrested, refuting reports that he slept at DCEO cells.
“I was handcuffed and arrested at 16:00 pm until 21:00 pm and do not know why I was arrested,” he said, adding that the warrant of arrest only indicated that he was supposed to appear before the Magistrate.
