Berea, Sept 18—District Football Association (DIFA) Berea in partnership with Lesotho Council of Non-Governmental Organizations (LCN) held a one day soccer tournament which ended with Motjoka Aces claiming the championship after defeating Tigers F.C by 3-0 and went home with a trophy, gold medals and three balls.
The key purpose of the tournament staged at Lioli ground on Sunday, saw participation of four B-division teams, was to increase public awareness about the importance of participating in the upcoming local government elections.
In his remarks, LCN Voters Educators Mr. Paul Leteba said they are actively involved in Berea district with voter’s education campaigns, therefore having seen that people like soccer in high numbers; they saw an opportunity to disseminate general information elections while they watch soccer.
