Quthing, Aug. 10 — At least more than 20 members of cottage and nutrition clubs from some villages in Mphaki agricultural resource acquired skills on cosmetics and detergent production at a training held at the resource Centre premises this week.
The two-day training was intended to equip parents with detergent and cosmetics production skills to produce the products to be used in their households to maintain cleanliness, and sale for income generation.
In an interview with the Agency theNutrition TechnicalOfficer from the Resource Centre Mrs. Matlhonolofatso Masupha said income generated from sale of the products will assist Cottage and Nutrition Clubs members who are also farmers to buy food when they are out of season or those that they do not have for maintenance of proper nutrition in their families.
She highlighted that the training is provided free of charge to address a challenge in which some interested community members fail to engage in production of cosmetics production due to lack of funds for payment to acquire the skills as one has to pay services providers of such training to acquire the skills.
