NACTWU HOPES TO SEE ACE APPAREL REOPENING SOON

Maseru, Dec. 15 — The National Allied and Clothing Textile Workers Union (NACTWU) Secretary General, Mr. Sam Mokhele says as the union they are interested to see the Ace Apparel Factory reopening soon to save the few jobs available.

Mr. Mokhele told the Agency on Friday that as the union, they are fully aware that Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) as well as the Minister of Trade and Industry and Small Businesses Mr. Mokhethi Shelile and that of Labour and Employment Mr. T’seliso Mokhosi visited Ace Apparel this week.

He said they are also aware that the two Cabinet Ministers promised the factory workers that they would ensure that they get their December salaries and that the Ace Apparel textile factory would be reopened in order to keep the workers’ jobs safe.
