MEN COURT FOR STOCK THEFT 

Mafeteng, Dec. 15 — Tumelo Ramalefane (33) of Motsemocha in Mafeteng and Lefu Moswatsi of (38) of Ha Sephapo have appeared before the Mafeteng Magistrate Court charged with Stick Theft.

According to the charge sheet the duo on December 11, 2023 were found traveling with 25 sheep during the night of which only two matched with the bewys at hand of the convicts.

It showed that small stocks were stolen from South Africa farmers and they were on their way to Maseru where the convicts were going to meet with the potential buyer.

The duo were given bail of M2,000 each and put a surity of M10,000 each of whom they were unable to pay hence their remanded in custody.

The convicts are expected to be back in court for second remand on December 27, 2023 as police investigations are continuing. 

The case is before Senior Resident Magistrate Nkuebe Ramabele.
