Maseru, March 12 — The Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane says, Moshoeshoe l is an important figure and icon and so is the Moshoeshoe walk.
He shared these sentiments before the National Assembly on Wednesday. This after the nation commemorated Moshoeshoe’s day yesterday, Tuesday as well as following the 116km Moshoeshoe walk from Menkhoaneng to Thaba-Bosiu last week.
Mr. Sekhamane stated that while the House is up in arms to restore its image, the need to participate in activities such as these ones bringing the nation together is vital.
“I am personally interested in this walk led by Queen ‘Masenate Seeiso for many reasons that include having known about it in 1986 when it was led by King Moshoeshoe ll in those days,” he said. AM/TL
