NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SUSPENDS BUSINESS

Maseru, March 12 — The National Assembly suspended the business otherwise adjournment before lunch today, Tuesday due to no water within the premises.

“I had thought that this matter would have been resolved by now but it still persists. This is a disastrous and a matter beyond our control hence adjournment,” the Speaker of the National Assembly said this when addressing the House about this challenge.

Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane stated that the House has resolved to start the business early that is 9:00am due to workload, thus having no choice to continue daily business as no water hinders business of the day.

Meanwhile, the Order Paper for Wednesday March 12 showed that motion 169 was to be on adoption of the report on the budget and estimates for the financial year 2025/26. AM/TL
