CSTS BOSS DENIES HEARING INMATES CRY

Maseru, Aug.09 — Correctional Service Training School (CSTS) Assistant Commissioner Lipholo Nthako has denied hearing inmates cry when they were assaulted by recruits.

This, he denied before the Commission Of Inquiry when cross examining Chief Officer Tololi Rats’ele who led the recruits during the search exercise that was conducted at MCCI on December 22, 2023.

He said it is wrong for Rats’ele to say he heard inmates cry yet he did not, indicating that Rats’ele is someone who falsely implicates people.

Responding to this, Chief Officer Rats’ele said there is no way Assistant Commissioner Nthako could not have heard the inmates cry because he went to block C, Maximum and even walked on the outside to Centre during the search. . .
