Mohale’s Hoek, Aug. 09 — The Magistrate court has issued a warrant of arrest for Reekelitsoe Ramaema and his 12 co-accused after failing to show up in court for their regular remands.
Evidence before court shows that upon or about October 2019, at or near Bethel Business Development School at Phamong, Ramaema and others sharing a common purpose, unlawfully, intentionally and negligently killed one Khauhelo Sekoboto by assaulting and suffocating him in water, leading to his death.
All 13 are charged with contravening Section 41 (1) and (2), read with Section 109 of Penal Code Act No:6 of 2010, and the case is before Magistrate Selebeleng Selebeleng and Molapo Letsie for Prosecution.
Meanwhile 3 men from Thabana-Morena in Mafeteng aged 24, 20 and 18 respectively who are charged with an alleged murder of one Keketso Makhosane by beating him with a fighting stick at Makhaloaneng, have been released under Speedy Court Trials Act, pending post mortem.
