Maseru, Sept.08 — The Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) and the Bankers Association of Lesotho (BAL) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in Maseru on Monday.
The agreement is aimed at facilitating cross-border payments and transactions while also addressing issues of fraud within the financial system.
Speaking at the event, RSL Commissioner General, Mrs. ’Mathabo Mokoko, said the signing of the MoC marks more than just a formal event, but a true testament of both institutions’ intention to make a meaningful contribution to the growth of the country.
She noted that while the RSL has been working with BAL in the past, this agreement strengthens their collaboration.
She further explained that as the tax administrator, they are pleased with this agreement, as their main focus is to build a fair, resilient and sustainable economy for Lesotho.
Mrs. Mokoko further emphasised that the partnership demonstrates commitment to addressing significant challenges by responding collectively as a team. . . .
