Maseru, Sept. 13 — New information regarding the assault of inmates has just emerged as the Commission of Inquiry on the escape of inmates is about to wrap up its work.
This, after one of the soldier inmates, Captain Litekanyo Nyakane told the Commission that the assault of inmates during the search exercise that was conducted at Maseru Central Correctional Institution (MCCI) on December 22, 2023, did not happen by accident but was planned.
