NUTRITION CLUB ENGAGE IN AGRICULTURE TO HELP KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Berea, Feb. 12 — Maribane Nutrition club members have embarked on an agricultural project with the purpose to sell and prepare healthy meals for kids with special needs.

This was said by Maribana Nutrition Club chairperson, Mrs. Maselemeng Habahaba on Tuesday in an interview with the Agency.

Mrs. Habahaba said the club`s main objective is to grow and sell their produce such as vegetables and grain to potential customers and with profit generated they buy meals and cook for vulnerable children.

She said the group is struggling with resources as they do not have shade nets to cover their products and tanks to store water. Moreover, she noted that they tried to reach out for aid, but unfortunately, their efforts failed because they are not yet legally registered.
