NUTRITION CLUBS TRANSFORM MOSAFELENG HOUSEHOLDS

Qacha’s Nek, Oct. 15 — Four nutrition clubs Rethabisitsoe, Matla ke Kopano, Its’okoleleng Basotho and Jarang ka Thata established through the Ntlafatsa Bana project in Mosafeleng, Ha Sepechele and Ha Matapole, Patising are already bearing fruit.

Household hygiene, eating habits and crop production are improving as families embrace nutrition-focused practices.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN) initiated the intervention last year in October. During a monitoring visit on Wednesday, the Agency observed significant progress among club members.

Mrs. Matumelo Khanare of the Rethabisitsoe nutrition club in Ha Matapole, Patising, said their 23 member club focuses on growing vegetables, food preservation, and cooking.
