Maseru, Mar.7 – In an effort to address water supply challenges in the Orange-Senqu River basin, Orange-Senqu River Commission (ORASECOM) held a briefing in Maseru on Thursday.
Speaking at the media conference, the Project Coordinator, Mr. Thabo Hloele said is meant to update on the Lesotho-Botswana Water Transfer (L-BWT) Project.
Mr. Hloele highlighted that the trans boundary multipurpose water infrastructure is a project that aims at addressing water supply challenges in the Orange-Senqu River basin.
He mentioned that the project aims at harnessing water from Lesotho and supplying it to Botswana and South Africa as the Orange-Senqu River covers one million square kilometres serving 19 million people and is a significant water source in Africa. . .
