ORDER NOT APPEALABLE -LAWYER

Maseru, Apr.22—-Advocate Tekane Maqakachane, a lawyer representing the Deputy Leader of Basotho Action Party (BAP) Mr. Motlatsi Maqelepo says an interim order issued by the High Court in January this year is not appealable.

This he said when addressing the Court of Appeal on an appeal issued by the leader of BAP Professor Nqosa Mahao and others against a decision of the High Court following an application by Mr. Maqelepo which sought to block a disciplinary action against him by the party.

The High Court had ruled that it has jurisdiction to entertain the interim reliefs even if there are jurisdictional issues raised. It interdicted and restrained the BAP and its Disciplinary Committee from proceeding with the disciplinary hearing against Mr. Maqelepo…S/M/BM
