Maseru, Sept. 24 — The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has ordered the Government Assets Search and Recovery Task Team (GASARTT) to facilitate and fast track to courts the issue of people who did not surrender their site leases to the government when they were compensated.
This, after GASARTT revealed before the PAC that some people whose sites were affected by construction of the bus stop in Maseru and were compensated by the government through allocation of its sites, have to date not surrendered their original site leases.

PAC Chairperson Mrs. Machabana Lemphane Letsie urged the task team to stipulate the date in which the matter will be presented before court.
Commenting on the matter, Major Tankiso Lelosa from GASARTT indicated that they are working tirelessly to locate such people so that they could surrender or take the matter to courts.
In another issue, he indicated that the people who were affected by construction of the bus stop were allocated sites in Maseru West and Stadium Area, indicating that an evaluation was conducted and the procedure was legal. . . .
