PHASE II OF RAMAROTHOLE SOLAR AGREEMENT INCOMPLETE – MOLELEKI 

Maseru, July 09 — Phase II of the Ramarothole Solar Power Plant contract between the government of Lesotho and China has not been finalized yet as some agreements have to be resolved.

This was disclosed by Mr Khotso Moleleki from the Department of Public Debt and Management in the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning when briefing the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on the progress of the mentioned project.

Mr. Moleleki said the government through the Ministry of Natural Resources has so far signed the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) agreement with the Chinese Consortium in Phase II of the project, saying they are awaiting response on financing hence such agreement is due to be signed. . . .
