Maseru – The Prime Minister, (PM) Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane will hand over four classrooms to a tune of M4.4 million during an event to be staged in Berea, Matlali Primary School on Friday.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ms. Mary Mokemane in an interview with the Agency on Thursday.
She explained that this is part of the PM’s outreach initiative seeking to enhance quality and speedy service delivery to the society through different government Ministries.
The PRO stated that Matlali is one of the hard to reach areas, indicating the PM will be accompanied by MoET Minister, Professor Ntoi Rapapa as well as the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Matjato Moteane who would in his capacity as Minister in charge learn the situation pertaining to inaccessible roads at this place.
Situated at Mosalemane Constituency, she added that this school has since been facing a number of challenges, adding that this also included issues of sanitation hence the PM will also be giving out 10 toilets as well for boys, girls and for Teachers as well.
The Agency has established that at this school, there are about 160 learners and four teachers who were previously forced to learn in a hall.
